Laser Therapy 2

Introducing Laser Therapy - A non-invasive, drug-free treatment for pain relief.

Laser therapy uses deep penetrating light energy to reduce pain and inflammation and increase the speed of healing. It helps your pet's body use its own natural healing powers by activating and stimulating a positive cellular response. The laser provides a gentle, soothing warmth and there are no side effects.

Applications for laser therapy include:

• Arthritis, degenerative joint disease, or hip dysplasia

• General pain management (sprains, strains, and stiffness)

• Routine post-surgery healing (spays, neuters, declaws)

• Skin problems (hot spots, lick granulomas, infections)

• Dental procedures

• Fractures, soft tissue injures, wounds (bites, abrasions, and lesions)

• Ear infections

What can my pet and I expect during a laser therapy treatment session?

Laser therapy treatments take just a few minutes - you can join us in a quiet room, grab a cup of coffee from across the street, or drop your pet off with us. Everyone - including your pet! - will wear fun goggles to protect their eyes. Your pet will sit or lie comfortably on a fluffy blanket while the technician lightly passes the laser over the affected area. Many of our patients fall asleep and snore during their treatments! We'll take a cute photo of your pet wearing their goggles - check some out below - and you're done!

How does it work?

Laser therapy stimulates the body to heal from within. Non-thermal photons of light are administered to the body for about 3 to 8 minutes and absorbed by the injured cells. The cells are then stimulated and respond with a higher rate of metabolism. This results in relief from pain, increased circulation, reduced inflammation, and an acceleration of the healing process.
